How to read this archive

Research labels

Sources recorded One or more source titles were attached to this person in the exported GEDCOM. This does not mean every fact has been independently checked.

Research in progress The GEDCOM contains dates or family connections, but no source title was found for the person.

Review needed The source file contains a warning suggesting that the record may need further review.

Limited information Only a small amount of information is available.

These labels describe what was present in the GEDCOM export. They are not a formal genealogical proof standard. Dates, places and relationships should be checked against the underlying records before publication.

Privacy and coverage

This prototype displays named profiles only when the GEDCOM records a death date or a birth year of 1905 or earlier, and no explicit privacy marker was found. Other people are represented anonymously in the tree. This conservative rule is a first-pass safeguard, not a substitute for a full review before publishing.

Living people, private names, source citation page text and personal notes are not included in public profiles. Source titles are shown without citation details. No GEDCOM records are edited by this prototype.

For this prototype, the tree focuses on one person at a time and lets visitors explore their ancestors or descendants. This avoids turning hundreds of people into an unreadable single chart, while the directory still lets visitors search across the entire public set.
